SESSION 1:
10:00 am to 12:00 pm
This session will begin with pond design decisions. The discussion will consider
site selection, safety concerns, integrating a pond into existing landscape,
excavation and drainage concerns, and waterfall and stream construction. The
homeowner is encouraged to bring pictures of areas under consideration on their
property. Also the homeowner should be prepared and have at least a rough idea
of square footage space –wise that can be dedicated to the pond project.
LUNCH – 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm
SESSION 2:
12:45 pm to 2:45 pm
This session will include pump and filtration systems. Filtration systems will
include a discussion on the pros and cons of mechanical filtration and
biological filtration methods. Water features and lighting will also be included
in this session.
BREAK - 2:45 pm to 3:00 pm
SESSION 3:
3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
This final session will include an introduction to water plants and fish. At
this time the home owners designs will be reviewed and modified where necessary.
